The Canadian Progress Club was founded in 1922 in Toronto, Ontario. It has provided over 75 years of community service, assisting those in need and making our communities better places to live and work. There are over 40 chapters across Canada with approximate membership totaling 1000. There is no restriction for membership and there are men's, women's and mixed clubs. Progress is entirely Canadian in concept and development. Members enjoy a proud legacy of providing assistance to underprivileged children, and of helping to foster the cause of physically, mentally and socially handicapped people. Today, Progressians continue to champion these causes and many others.
Progressians are men and women from all walks of life who enjoy hands-on involvement in charitable activities, making improvements to their communities, meeting new friends and having fun. Local chapters of the Canadian Progress Club average only 25 members, creating a real sense of fellowship. Clubs across Canada raise money and provide support in many different ways, from golf tournaments to bake sales, from car rallies to gala dinners, from erecting a building to serving breakfast to school children. Regardless of the size or scope of an event, in the Canadian Progress Club, there is always an element of "fun" in fund-raising activities.
All across Canada, Progressians are proudly upholding their mission, "Enhancing the quality of life of all Canadians, through community service, in the spirit of fellowship".
